My first ‘social network’ was Livejournal. In 2002, a Livejournal invite code was *the* hot get at my high school. While I migrated to Facebook in 2005 with the rest of the college-age population, I’ve missed the longform writing. I have often gotten comments, both as accolades and condemnations, that I “use Facebook as a journal”. And it’s true; I do. But a Facebook status is not really the right form factor.
Now, with These Trying Times, I find myself wanting to create more space for reflection.
While I don’t expect strangers to be readers of this blog, a few words about who I am:
35, she/her. Nebraskan. Married. Happy to be an auntie, never a mother. I am sure there’s more to say, but today’s goal is to get this set up, and not let the perfect be the enemy of the beginning.
